What we build for businesses
- Retail and storefront fit-ups, downtown Brantford and Paris included
- Office renovations and reconfigurations
- Restaurant and service-business build-outs (ventilation, plumbing and TSSA gas scopes coordinated)
- Accessibility upgrades: barrier-free entrances, washrooms and paths of travel under the Ontario Building Code
- Landlord-coordinated work: drawings approved, insurance certificates filed, working-hours rules respected
"Residential clients lose sleep. Commercial clients lose revenue, every single day the doors aren't open. So we build the schedule backward from opening day, put it in the contract, and sequence trades like the deadline is ours. Because contractually, it is."
Mitch Fraser, owner, Ontario Contracting Co.
The protections that matter on commercial work
Ontario's Consumer Protection Act shields consumers, not corporations, so on commercial jobs the written contract and the Construction Act's lien and holdback regime carry the whole protective load. We contract with itemized scope, milestone payments, the statutory 10% holdback and statutory declarations that subs are paid, the same discipline documented across our contracts-and-rights guide. Change-of-use and occupancy permits run through Brantford's Cloudpermit or the County of Brant system, with occupancy timing built into the schedule.
The commercial playbook
The stage-by-stage sequence, landlord layer included, is published in the project playbooks. Bring us the lease's work-letter and opening date; we'll bring back a schedule and a written number.
